Parking can be arranged outside the cottage upon booking, or free parking is available within a one-minute walk.

The area offers picturesque estuarine walks, whether along the Crouch toward the North Sea or west to neighbouring villages like Althorne and Fambridge. A short 30-minute drive opens up opportunities for beautiful walks in places like Bradwell on the Blackwater. Nestled in a gravelled terrace off the main street, the cottage is conveniently located just a minute's walk from the River Crouch, pubs, chippies, and cafes. Peaberries, the local café, can deliver freshly homemade meals upon pre-order (menus provided with booking form).
Surrounded by stunning flat marshland, Burnham sits opposite Wallasea Island, a bird sanctuary accessible via a regular ferry. Trips to see seals are also available. Within a 15-minute drive or an hour-plus walk, two vineyards with excellent restaurants and scenic views across the Crouch await exploration. Sailing enthusiasts will appreciate Burnham's year-round sailing scene, especially during Burnham Week, an annual regatta that brings the town to life during the last week of August.
