Welcome to our new-look website! It’s still a work in progress, so please let me know if you come across any bugs. It’s been a bit of a beast to put together (a big shout-out to Rich for making it happen). I hope you’ll find the site easier to use and navigate.
For those of you who have been following me since the Tumblr days (hello!), in many ways, we’re going back to basics. I’ll be listing homes for sale, but this time I’ll be directly representing them. Our first property will go live in the coming weeks, and the plan is to grow things organically from there, focusing on some of London’s most celebrated estates. Like the blog in its early days, I’m less concerned with a property’s decor and more with good bones.
I’ll also be updating this journal section more frequently with recommendations for exhibitions, events, books and more. Additionally, I’ll be reposting some highlights from the old Tumblr, such as the interview with Hans Hostettler of Swiss architectural practice Atelier 5, who designed one of my favourite estates — Siedlung Halen in Bern.
Over Christmas, I’m planning to create a 'Modernist Estates' uniform for this new venture (because clearly, I don’t have enough on my plate). It’ll be inspired by Bauhaus student Wera Meyer-Waldeck, pictured here in the carpentry workshop in Dessau, 1928–29. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes!
