Description

Discover a unique blend of history and modernity at Palais Brut, a stunningly reimagined GDR-era building located just an hour from central Berlin. Nestled between the picturesque towns of Bad Saarow and Buckow in the heart of Märkische Schweiz, this retreat offers both seclusion and accessibility.

Palais Brut has undergone a complete makeover and offers a spacious duplex apartment sleeping up to eight guests or a studio unit sleeping up to two people. Each can be rented individually or together—making it perfect for couples, families, or groups of up to ten people.

The interiors exude an industrial aesthetic with cool concrete elements, beautifully offset by warm, comfortable furnishings. Expansive windows flood the space with natural light and offer breathtaking views of the lush garden, seamlessly blending the indoors with the outdoors. Each apartment features private terraces and large panoramic windows offering scenic views extending beyond the garden to the fields of the neighboring Demeter farm. Both apartments are equipped with modern, fully fitted kitchens, including a dishwasher. All beds are king-size. Underfloor heating ensures a comfortable indoor climate. Upon request, a baby cot and high chair can be provided.

The house stands in the middle of an expansive garden, spanning more than 2,100 square metres. Guests can unwind in the newly built garden sauna, a serene escape that’s perfect after a day of exploring.

Area

The surrounding area is a haven for nature lovers, with nearby lakes and nature reserves offering endless opportunities for hiking, biking, and swimming. Palais Brut is conveniently located near the county town of Müncheberg, just a short drive away from essential amenities such as supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, a post office, and a bank. Moreover, and all within easy reach, you'll find several bathing lakes and the Kneipp resort Buckow with its restaurants and cultural offerings, situated in the midst of the Märkische Schweiz Naturpark, the oldest Naturpark in Brandenburg. Driving south, you'll reach the Saarow Therme within 30 minutes.
